Maybe Just a Story

I seen Brenda today again after I came back from running around. She said William was away until dark to talk with somethings I don’t know and Brenda got told to stay in the cave but she didn't. We sat by the sticker bushes and talked and talked. I said where did you live before and she said far away where it snows more. She told me about the things in the far away place and I guess I can’t know how to think of it. Some of it sounds very I don’t know.

Like how she said about meeting a giant woolly marmot one time I think that’s the name she said. Brenda said it was a thing so big you could live inside its belly and have room to jump around and it had big curly front teeth that were thick like white tree branches. Brenda said the woolly marmot would like to eat bits of honeycomb they gave it but who wouldn’t I guess. It sounds funny to me I don’t know. The way she said it all looked made me think the whole critter would tip forward when it walked. But even if it is just a made up story I sure like talking with my new friend Brenda.

Brenda

Today I seen the kitty lady again outside by the theater. I was watching from the far away but I guess she smelt me because she said I know someone is around. I thought she might run away when I stood up and said hi but she didn’t. I said my name is Sam and she said my name is Brenda. I said do you live around here and she said her papa used to live in this area a long time ago and now he came back. Her papa’s name is William and Brenda said William is not friends with humans very much. I told that I knew that about mamimals not getting on with people but I have mamimal friends and Brenda laughed I don’t know why. She said you seem nice Sam and I said you have such glamour fur and we smiled together. I asked if she ever played hopscotch and she said no and I said she could be on my team and I will teach you how. Brenda seemed happy even though she didn’t know what I was talking about. But then she got shy and said she should go or William will wonder and get cross. I said I’d like to meet William and Brenda said maybe some day but not now. I said ok and it was nice to meet you and Brenda stepped close and rubbed her ear on my shoulder. I think that is mamimal for nice to meet you.

Tiger Lady

Today I seen someone down by the water in the far away who was a mamimal lady I think. She had so glamour fur with stripes and she seemed like a nice lady but I stayed away because I don’t know. I watched and she was just standing looking at the water for a long time up on a rock where Sam sometimes stands to look at water too. I wisht I could say hi Kitty Lady how are you and isn’t the water nice but I guess I was too I don’t know. I think she was singing something but I couldn’t hear what in the far away. Then a voice that was low said something and the Kitty Lady climbed off the rock and went into some caves I guess to be with the other voice. I hope the Kitty Lady will make a nice home here so Sam can go visiting and I wonder if mamimals like hopscotch I hope so.

Flippy

I seen this scruffy doggie around sometimes near where I stay. I like doggies but I never know about the biting so I stayed away but it was hard. I watched the doggie today for a while from the far away and I think he is old or scrambled in the head maybe. For the one thing he stands and stares a lot more than any other doggie ever. Only his tail flips a little and nothing else for the long time.

I decided to try getting near the doggie just to see if he would like me is all. It was so foggy morning and I walked up real slow and quiet like a mouse. I didn’t let him smell the fear on me like Grammy said even though I maybe did smell like it some I guess. But old doggie just stood and flipped his tail at Sam so maybe we are friends. I was thinking his name could be Standy but then also Flippy is probably better. I’ll get some rats tomorrow and make Flippy some good dinner to have so maybe he will stay like a good doggie. I hope we can go running sometime if he can I don’t know.

So Raining

So raining today. All morning rain and then look more rain again. The sky is still thick and funny like it has been for days and I wonder if it is going to change back ever or not now. It’s hard to run around in all the wet and mud so I mostly stayed in the tunnel and guess what looked at rain. Just having to sit and sit made me cross and I was even saying mean things about rain out loud but then I said no Sam don’t be angry at a sky that’s crazy. But I was still stuck in the tunnel so I started to play a game where I was at a fancy glamour party instead and there was dancing with boys and long tables of so good food just there to eat if you felt like it. It was a very fine pretend. After a few very glamour dances the rain got softer and then stopped so I went out on the little bridge and ate just about everything I had hid away for a rainy day. Because it was and the dance made me hungry.

Out in Nothing

I went out to the place where nothing is again to see if Kendo started on his big plan yet but I guess not. So I played hopscotch while there is still some room to toss and jump. The big empty is so funny I think I hear voices sometimes. But really not so strange for Sam to hear things in the head I guess. Kendo said Sam do you have family and I said no it’s just Sam. Out here in the nothing I feel even more like just Sam. Even if I had a doggie friend that would be nice.

Kendo's Plan

I was running out in the place where nothing is and I seen my little friend Kendo with the wobble neck but it was much better now. He said the eat your face lady witched him better and I’m so glad for him and even wonder more about Ccindy. Kendo makes funny fingers when he talks like clawing that is cute I think.

Kendo was walking and looking like there was some big things around but I seen nothing and more nothing where we were. I asked hey Kendo what are you looking at and he said he was making plans.

I asked what kind of plans Kendo and he said secret plans but then he said he was building something new here so not that secret I guess. He was excited and talking about starting soon. I asked if I could come watch and he said any time Sam. I think it must be a big plan by the way he was looking at all the nothing.

I told him he should maybe get a goat and name it Curry. I think any plan is better when there is a goat as part of it.

The Bridge

This morning I woke up and ran out to look at the bridge. It was there still cracked in the middle like always.

After I ran around looking for useful things I went to look at the bridge again. It was nice in the light and I like to see the water too. I made another round of running and looking and had some funny meat I found that wasn’t too throwup. It started to get dark so I went up to the top of Burning Mountain to look at the bridge.

I wonder what is the big deal about the bridge.

Woman

Sometimes Grammy would say Sam when you are woman something something. Woman always sounded so different and glamour but I don’t know when I will be woman. I still feel pretty much a girl I guess. I think about what I will be like when I am woman and I guess I’m still me but older and pretty. I think I work hard at something because I like to work hard at things. Maybe I make the bread for all the people around because I can grease a pan real good Grammy said. Maybe I teach spellings to the brats if they are nice to me. I think I will also have a nice doggie who is my friend then.

Sand from the Clouds

I had a so funny dream. I was up on top of Burning Mountain and the sky was funny like it has been for a while. I was wearing the new dress I found and I wasn’t even cold in the wind that is so burr there. I was looking out at the stars and the water when I felt like I was lifting away from the ground and floating up to I don’t know where. It seemed like I should have been scared and tried to run but I was pretty ok about everything really. And where could I run to in the air anyways. So I just floated and floated and looked at all the places where I run around but only from above. I went over to Cormac and saw the sand from the clouds. I must have gone back to Burning Mountain at some point because I member I seen Harvey there and he was in a chair with wheels because he was busted up by the mean men. I don’t know how he got to the top of the mountain in that thing really. When I woke up I felt like eating two flatbreads so I did.

Funny Sky

Grammy used to say there comes a change in the weather some times and this is a time I guess. So funny sky for the last few days and thick foggy too. It feels warmer than it should be in the sun but at night the chill is horrible. I like the way the sun looks through the foggy because of the funny colors. It rained some this morning and the drops smelled like burning fish so I don’t know. Maybe stay inside until the weather changes again I guess. Who knows what color my hair could be if I was out in the stinky rain.
